Our customer owns and operates iconic tourism, hospitality and entertainment venues in some of the most beautiful parts of Australia. From the red earth sanctuary of Broome and the turquoise waters of Rottnest Island and Cottesloe Beach, to the lush vineyards of the Margaret River and the Swan Valley.

They are looking for amazing people across their venues with skills and experience in hospitality, tourism, food and beverage who live and breath guest experience passion.

About the venue

You will be working at Swan Valley's most popular wedding venue hosting more than 165 ceremonies a year, and has become Perth’s favourite outdoor arena presenting concerts for up to 16,000 guests, attracting national and international music artists and entertainers.

Established in 1840, its one of Australia’s oldest and largest family owned winemakers and the Estate today is a stunning centerpiece of the state’s celebrated vineyard culture.

Visitors come here to experience world class wines and vineyard views, taste exquisite cuisine, or to just relax and experience the renowned service and hospitality.

After work you will stroll through the lush vineyards and maybe have a drink or two ;)

What you need to do

As Banquets & Functions waitstaff you will be serving drinks and food at Events. These include weddings, corporate, social events, and special events including concerts and festivals held at the estate from time to time.

What they expect

To be considered for the job you should have:

  • Have a keen interest in tourism and hospitality
  • No experience necessary as full training is provided
  • Show high standards of personal presentation
  • Possess a valid RSA certificate
  • Be available to work day shifts, nights and weekend shifts (including some Public Holidays)
  • Have a “can-do” “whatever it takes” attitude and will always look to go the extra mile
  • Portray a positive, energetic and upbeat personality at all times
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Always have a customer and guest focused attitude
  • Have excellent verbal communication skills
  • Be a team player but can work independently and unsupervised

And most importantly, always be smiling!

Terms of employment
  • Minimum 3 months
  • Working hours 24 - 40 hours per week
  • Work daytime, evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Valid Working Holiday Visa
  • A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Competency Card

What the pay is like
  • Hourly gross wages $26.00 day-time
  • Hourly gross wages $31 - $38 weekends
  • Payment is done per week
  • Exact wage details are discussed during interview
How to get there

You will fly into Perth as Swan Valley is Located just 25 minutes’ drive from Perth. Accessible by public transport or, if you are up for it, a bike!

About accommodation

You can stay at any Hostel or get shared accommodation. Hostels go for between $150-200 per week and rooms in shared accommodation go for $200-350 per week.
