About the venue

Would you like to work at Rottnest Island, hike the gorges of Karijini National Park on your days off, or dive the Great Barrier Reef? Like to get some Broome time, or work in Western Australia’s wine regions? Our venues are spread across incredible locations in Western Australia and Queensland.

What you need to do

Our customer is seeking qualified, experienced, passionate and driven chefs to join their Kitchen Team of expanding venues over multiple locations in Western Australia.

Positions available include:

  • Executive Chef
  • Sous Chef
  • Chef de Partie
  • Demi Chef
  • Commis Chef

The roles form part of the Kitchen team and is responsible in delivering high-level operational standards for our Restaurants, Functions, and Banquets - including Weddings, Corporate Seminars, Conferences, and Concert Events.

This role will require you to prepare and cook food in accordance with set requirements and regulations. You will be required to work with other staff members to deliver food in a fast-paced environment.

Our customer encourages staff to explore opportunities within the Group and facilitates transfers for the right employees.

To be considered for the job:

It is expected candidates who apply for these important positions will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in similar position(s) in small to larger sized organisations (Hotel, Bistro, Cafe, Catering and Function Centre).

The successful candidate will be part of a large and dynamic kitchen team, where you can showcase your skills, and love for fresh and locally sourced produce.

As an experienced chef you will need to have the following attributes:

  • Professional approach
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Leadership skills
Terms of employment
  • Minimum 3 months
  • Working hours 38 hours per week
  • Work daytime, evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Valid Working Holiday Visa

Hourly gross wages $32.00 per hour or more

About accommodation

You can stay at any Hostel or get shared accommodation. Hostels go for between $150-200 per week and rooms in shared accommodation go for $200-350 per week.
