Within ±4 weeks before arrival we provide you with the actual jobs available matching your requirements and experience
We also provide a full service of getting you ready for work including 4 nights of accommodation and airport transfer

What is a White Card?

A White Card is legally required for anyone working in the construction industry. The training provides information on safe work practices, risk management, personal protection, safety signs, equipment to prevent accidents at the work place, as well as workplace injury management and workers compensation system.

What is a Working With Children Check?

Each state in Australia requires anyone who will be working with children to undergo a Working With Children Check (WWCC). If you take up a teaching, au pair, after school care or preschool role you will need to have the check done before you can start work.

Is there a maximum working period?

Within the Working Holiday Visa agreement you can work for 6 months for 1 employer. During 2022 this has been extended to 12 months by the Australian government but we recently saw some updates that the rule will be changed back again to 6 months.

Important to understand that this is per location you work. So let's say you work in 1 venue for a employer then you can work for 6 months, if you change to another venue from the same employer you can again work for 6 months.

Is there a minimum working period?

The minimum working period we provide is 3 months. This is also a great period to save up enough money to travel at later stage.

Can I get professional jobs?

Work in Australia specializes in Working Holiday jobs so we don't have professional jobs. On occasion we get some and they will then be available on the job portal. Note that it's not easy to get professional jobs during you working holiday when you are not in the country.

We suggest to get a guaranteed job with us, start work for 3 months in the city you like. This will allow you to experience Australia and see if you like it, if you do you can start applying to professional jobs while you are in the country.

And of course you will need a job! In order to work in Australia most industries require you to have a role specific job certificate. Read more about this in the FAQ's about different job certificates.

What are job certificates?

Working in Australia means you will most likely need a job certifcate before you start work. Below are some of the most used ones:

Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG)
Working with Children check (WWCC)
White card

How to get a job certificate?

Work in Australia will organise this for you. We book, pay and schedule the course! All you have to do is jump on your laptop, and get it done after you have arrived in Australia.

The costs for the job certificates are also included into our package prices. You can only get a job certificate when you are in Australia and your Visa is activated. This is why we book your course in advance and in the first week of your arrival we will get you all sorted so you can start work quickly.

What is a Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (RSA)?

The Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) is a certificate that provides evidence to your employer, that you know the rules and regulations related to alcohol consumption in Australia. It is mandatory if you want to work in hospitality or any location where alcohol is served.

What is a Responsible Conduct of Gambling certificate?

If you're going to work in a venue and your duties involve gaming machines, you must complete competency training in the Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG). If you don't have valid evidence that you've completed the RCG training required for working with gaming machines you will not be able to work in such locations, if you do you will get fined.
